Before you start drench your self in water than getting shot with water doesn't bother you at all!

So WOW!!! It is hot and HUMID here!!! It just keeps getting worse! haha On Tuesday it was probably some of the worst heat I have ever experienced, in fact we got a text from president saying because it is so hot I suggest you go somewhere cool and find something to do, thats still effective, until it cools down. But me and my companion had extra time to proselyte and we never have time to proselyte because we are so busy. So we talked about it and we decided to show god that we are 2nd and he is first we decided to go out and walk the streets anyways, but even more than that we didnt want to go out and because of the heat walk slow, and try and stay cool, because then our street contacting wouldnt be the most effective. So...

Whats the best way to Street Contact in flaming hot korea?

Run as fast as you can so you super fast get hot and a little sweaty, that way when you are walking and talking to people you are not worried about trying to stay cool but we could focus on the work! Also since it was so hot there were not a ton of people outside so after you talk to someone you can walk for 3-5 minutes to find the next person or you can run to them in 30 seconds and save tons of time! So thats what we decided to do! And it was super HOT, HUMID, and FUN!!!

Wow its super crazy I am half way through this transfer already!! And the even crazier part is that the end of this transfer is also my year mark!!! And the last P-day of this transfer is my Birthday!! This is one big transfer! haha Plus like half our mission goes home this transfer and so my MTC group is going to be the majority of the older missionaries now! super crazy!!

So this week 최수원 (Choi Soo Won) is getting baptized!! He still needs to receive permission from his parents but I think he will receive it! Although Satan is hitting him hard right now. I have noticed with lots of investigators that the closer they come to baptism the more Satan hits them, and its important to let them know about that. This Friday 최수원 was at church with us and started asking why he needed baptism, he received 세례 already (I forgot what that is in english, its the catholic baptism with sprinkling water on your head) and so he was asking why he needed baptism. He also was wondering if god is even real and how we can know. He said he would get baptized for us though...... So we told him that we dont want him to get baptized for us, in fact we wont baptize him if he doesnt want to. We told him to pray and ask god if he is real and if he needs to get baptized. We went home and we prayed and fasted for him to recieve an answer! He called us the next day and said 'Elders I got an answer!!" So as we told him that the closer he gets to baptism the more satan is going to fight him it helped him realize why he was getting annoyed and doubting us more, once he knew he was able to pray for help and overcome it! Super cool! So on the 23 is his baptism date!

This week we had 4 investigators come to church!! Super exciting! (in a branch of 30ish people 4 new people is a huge deal and they all got treated super nice!) We are planning on hopefully getting 3-4 baptisms this transfer but that just depends if some of our potential investigators will start progressing more! Hopefully we can help them grow closer to god!

Its been a super awesome week!! My faith has been tested and i have grown stronger because of it!! Love it out here!

So i want to share a scripture real quick.

Mosiah 2: 41

41 And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it.

When we keep gods commandments it blesses us in every aspect of our lives!! You will notice that life might seem hard but your are just always happy and smiling, or that your family is being blessed or your testimony is strengthening or you received a bonus at work, the blessings are countless, but the important thing is god knows whats best for you and so whatever blessing it is that the best blessing you could get at the moment in time! I want to testify that it is by the small and simple things that great things are brought to pass. When we obey the small requests from god we will receive great blessings! Something I have noticed on my mission is that obedience brings blessings, Perfect Obedience brings miracles! I know this church is true and I know god is watching over us! I know that the only way to always be happy and feel joy is through our savior and redeemer Jesus christ our lord, master, and teacher!! And all it takes is a desire and trust in the lord, and we can shimmer with the light and happiness of christ!
